Whether you’re balancing a spoon on your nose or a celebrity impression – most of the time they’re pretty unique. 2 Mom Danielle posted her party trick to her followers on TikTokCredit: tiktok/xbiglashesnomoustachesx 2 She then pushed her shoulder all the way out – something most people can’t do as their collarbones get in the way But one woman has revealed she’s moving and will be pushing her spoon balancing trick to the back of her tail. In her TikTok post, mum Danielle said she was born with a rare health condition called Claibocranial Dysplasia. It’s the same disease that Stranger Things star Gaten Matarazzo has and it usually affects the teeth and bones, including the skull, face, spine, collarbone and legs. Sharing her trick online she said: “When someone asks what I bring to the table…I don’t have a key trick works every time.” She can then extend her arms straight out in front of her and close them with no gap in between – where your collarbones would normally get in the way. People who suffer from the condition may have absent bones and may be more fragile than others who do not. Stranger Things star Matarazzo has had several surgeries for the rare bone disorder. He plays Dustin on the hit Netflix series, and in January 2020 he had what he said would be the “last surgery he needs.” Previously, another TikTok star with the same condition revealed that he could tap his shoulder blades together. Corey Bennett, who lives in Indiana, USA, is the self-proclaimed “King of the Shoulder Slap.” Corey posts videos on TikTok of himself slapping his shoulder blades together, and another user asked him to post an explainer video detailing how he can do it. He explained his condition to his followers, showing some of the side effects that can occur, such as underdeveloped cheek bones, short stature and hearing loss. Another symptom is bad teeth, and Corey added: “Yeah, I have bad teeth,” adding that he wouldn’t show them to his followers. that he had previously been bullied at school because of his condition.
What is Cleidocranial Dysplasia?
Cleidocranial Dysplasia is a condition that mainly affects the development of bones and teeth. People with clavicle cranial dysplasia usually have underdeveloped or absent clavicles (clavicles). As a result, their shoulders are narrow and sloping, they can come unusually close together in front of the body, and in some cases the shoulders can be made to meet in the middle of the body. Affected individuals may be 3 to 6 inches shorter than other family members and may have:
short, tapered fingers and wide thumbs. short forearms; flatfeet; knock the knees; and an abnormal curvature of the spine;
Facial features may include:
a broad, short skull (brachycephaly); a prominent forehead; wide eyes (hypertelorism). a flat nose small maxilla
Dental abnormalities seen in cleidocranial dysplasia may include:
delayed loss of primary (baby) teeth. delayed appearance of secondary (adult) teeth. unusually shaped teeth that look like pegs. misalignment of teeth and jaws (malocclusion). and extra teeth, sometimes accompanied by gum cysts
He said: “I started ‘clap my shoulders until I’m famous’ one day in my dorm room because I saw people doing different things with a series of days until they were famous – so, boom, there was a good way to make content until I was famous!”. Corey said many people with the same condition as him have also reached out after seeing his videos online. He also said that many people have sent him messages of positive awareness about the condition, but stressed that there are still some who post rude comments. Corey added: “But I won’t stop sharing it – I want to spread awareness because I know how hard it is to grow up with this rare condition. “I will continue to make content on TikTok and spread awareness.”
