On Wednesday, at approximately 7 p.m., the Wilson’s Landing police and fire chief responded to an alarm at the fire station and discovered the building had been broken into. The preliminary investigation indicates that the suspects raised the alarm after entering the building and stole several items before leaving. “The crime scene was photographed and an exhibit was seized for fingerprinting by the Forensic Identification Section,” said Cpl. Judith Bertrand, spokesperson for the West Kelowna RCMP. The Wilson’s Landing Fire Department provides services including first medical response and fire suppression for the Westside Road area just north of West Kelowna. The station was targeted for another break and entered in February 2021. If you have any details about this incident, you are asked to contact the West Kelowna RCMP at 250-768-2880.
