But one player who is suddenly getting some attention is rookie running back Kyren Williams. He’s seemingly a guy to watch not only tonight, but as the season progresses — which seems odd given that both Cam Akers and Darrell Henderson Jr. they are healthy and ready to go. On ESPN’s “Get Up” Thursday, Adam Schefter dropped Williams’ name as someone fans should watch against the Bills, picking him as a guy for fantasy purposes. “There’s a guy tonight I’d see. We haven’t heard much about him this summer and we’ll see how much of an impact he makes tonight. But the Rams have a rookie running back, Kyren Williams, who I think is worth watching tonight,” Schefter said. “Former draft pick out of Notre Dame, someone who could be involved tonight, could show up this season. Someone to watch for fantasy teams I think we’ll move on. And he’s someone Aries likes. He showed some things this summer. Sean McVay after the last preseason game talked about the fact that he was someone who could contribute this year.” Williams is the No. 3 running back on the depth chart, behind Akers and Henderson, and ahead of Jake Funk. He doesn’t appear to have much room to get the football unless Akers or Henderson gets hurt, but maybe Schaefer knows something. Peter Schrager can too. Schrager, who is friends with Sean McVay, made a prediction on “Good Morning Football” that Williams would make a game-changing play in the fourth quarter against the Bills. Now, it was part of a bold prediction segment, but this one was definitely unexpected. Apparently he also loved “NFL Now.” That’s three separate broadcasts where a fifth-round rookie was mentioned by analysts, which shouldn’t be overlooked. Williams is going to score the winning touchdown with 2 minutes left in the fourth quarter tonight, just like all of us.
